ViMP - Video Media Player

The vital element of the AUVICA portfolio is the multi-functional ViMP media player.

To oppose the flood of various player technologies, ViMP is more but just a simple video playback tool. The modularized implementation offers next to the playback of FLV and MP4 also an audio mode for ACC and MP3 and furthermore the image mode for JPG, GIF and PNG image material.

The player adjusts itself automatically to the file format and presents the input data with the related functional amount. So, buttons for sliding back and forward between images and a fading controlbar with intuitional button controls for videos fades in and out at need.

To support the high-quality video enjoyment the player offers above the common zoom option as fit2screen and fullscreen also the lightsoff mode and the modern color mood mode, which tints the browser’s background the according film-scene’s color shape.

Technical settings

Being a modern flash application, the ViMP media player was built on the open source framework Adobe Flex 3. This solid base enabled the generation of its object oriented and modularized player system in ActionScript 3, which also opposes the technical requirements of tomorrow by being adjustable and extendible.

For adjusting the player to your CI and your web appearance, you can also shape the player’s terms of color individually to your needs.

Of course the AUVICA GmbH offers all the services needed around the player technology:

• Hosting

  All the media files get hosted and managed centralized on a high-performance system. According to size and requirement, those can be a small in-house server up to a big server-cloud and be adjusted to your individual requirements.

• Encoding

  All the audio/video and image file formats and qualities including h.264 and HD get encoded centralized and reliably by the AUVICA Transcoding service, whereat all the common file formats can be used.

• Streaming

  By setting up a streaming server you can send you own live-stream or realize a live-chat but furthermore also present your media files in secured rmtp on the internet.

• Advertisement

   

  By using specific interfaces, also a modern advertisement server such as DoubleClick-/DART InStream, ZANOX or ACUEDO by Tremor Media may be connected to ViMP to include preRoll-, postRoll, and midroll-ads, and also banderols or flash-in-flash advertisement.
