AUVICA – Audio Video Community Applications

The AUVICA Media Framework, based on the PHP Symfony framework, was developed completely object-oriented on PHP 5. To connect to common database systems (without the slightest programming effort), object-relational mapping and moreover the most modern techniques in localization (l18n) and internationalization (i18n) have been assembled assembled.

Based on this approved framework the most complex developments can be conducted in the shortest time regarding high fault tolerance.

Enterprises like Yahoo, del.icio.us, Gruner+Jahr and many other well-known companies count on the PHP Symfony framework. So, also our customers MTV, VIVA and the Deutsche Telekom announced their trust in the high-capacity Media framework from the AUVICA GmbH.

Development using the MVC-model

The development is strictly geared to the MVC-model (model-view-controller). Frontend and backend applications as well, e.g. for administrating the community portal, access the same data-model, so hardly no frictional losses result when designing the portal individually

Performance and stability

The AUVICA Media Framework’s performance is flexibly scalable and was especially constructed for high usage-numbers on big portals with many users and media.

By integrated and configurable caching-mechanisms single requests, partial sites or also whole sites of the application can be buffered and be provided faster and without additional database requests.

With this technology , a high increase in media and user numbers an almost constant page presentation can be guaranteed.
